Role : Production Support Analyst

Location : Boston , MA (Locals only)

Job Summary:

Serves as a contributor with expertise in modern data technologies, responsible for formulating systems scope and objectives relative to a client organization's business plan and industry requirements. Develop, create, implement new database query, reports, and analyzing and improving existing reports and queries. Take problem definition and extract/create supporting data to support problem root cause by creating reports and performing data analysis in a fast pace and on-demand environment. Acts independently or as a member of a project team responsible for providing technical guidance concerning the business implications of the application of various systems. Self-motivated and self-driven individual preferred willing to work along with the team.

Responsibilities:
Triage problems across the data platform to help address development, test, and production issues.
Testing Data pipelines at staging/QA environments and help deploying them at production.
Work with business, product and technical stakeholders on data or report issues.
Create and manage Incident and Change Requests (ServiceNow) as needed for data pipelines.
Assist with data architecture, ETL pipeline development, automation, and planning/scheduling.
Develop and maintain documentation (Confluence), departmental technical procedures, and user guides/SOPs.
Maintain best practices to facilitate optimized software development and continuous improvement/continuous delivery (CI/CD)

  • Maintain Data Quality by adding more controls using automated query checks, via framework.
  • 24*7 availability expected (few days in a month) to support critical deliveries/loads/releases.

Skills:

  • Must have 2-4 years of data software development experience and must demonstrate significant experience of applying software engineering best practices (system design for scale, modularity, version control, unit testing, documentation etc.) on real-world projects
    Strong expertise to code in multiple languages (Python and SQL)
  • Strong foundation/certification in the AWS Cloud Services: S3, Redshift Spectrum, EC2
    Solid understanding and experience working with Gitlab, JIRA and Confluence
