
Staff Node.JS Developer
A medical client of mine is searching for an expert Staff Node.JS Developer to join their fast-growing start-up! They specialize in modernizing the communication process between imaging specialists and primary care doctors, resulting in faster communication channels to support stellar collaboration. This is a hands-on (code quality) position where you would be designing and developing the backend infrastructure of their technology platform, while mentoring and developing junior team members. They are looking for a Node.JS and Microservice EXPERT, ideally with healthcare or health imaging experience.
You will be working across two agile, full-stacked development teams. Full start focusing on improving back-end, Node.js, code quality and building out new features.

Mandatory Requirements:
- 8+ years of backend development experience, with deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript.
- Strong experience with microservices architecture, event-driven design, and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with Pub/Sub messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Google Cloud Pub/Sub)
- Proficiency in database design and optimization (PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure) versioning tools Github/GitLab.
- Knowledge of performance profiling, debugging, quality and monitoring tools.
- Understanding of healthcare data standards and regulations (e.g., DICOM, HL7, HIPAA).
Good to Have:
- Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance).
- Background in AI/ML, data pipelines, or high-throughput systems.
