Job Title: IT Project Manager & SharePoint Administrator-W2 Only

Location: Columbia, SC
Duration: One Year contract with possibility of extensions

Scope of the Project:

IRG client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to work directly with the IT Services team. The ideal candidate will also have expertise in SharePoint Online and be able to act as a SharePoint Administrator. This role will focus on analyzing, archiving, documenting, and optimizing the agency's SharePoint site, including workflows and configurations. The Project Manager will serve as a key liaison between the SharePoint team and agency leadership while ensuring project goals align with organizational objectives.

Daily Duties & Responsibilities:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead SharePoint Optimization Project: Analyze, document, and archive SharePoint sites, workflows, and configurations using industry best practices.
  • Project Planning & Management: Develop and implement project management processes to ensure timely delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, technical teams, and executive management.
  • Process Improvement: Recommend and implement efficiency improvements in SharePoint organization, reporting structures, and overall productivity.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain project documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks that could impact the project.
  • Technical Collaboration: Partner with network engineers and content management teams to support SharePoint infrastructure enhancements.
  • Liaison Role: Act as a bridge between technical teams and executive management, translating technical information for non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of IT Project Management experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of SharePoint Online (O365) administration and development experience.
  • Strong ability to present and prepare reports for leadership.
  • Proficiency in prioritizing tasks based on business goals and deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills for planning and managing work activities.
  • In-depth knowledge of SharePoint architecture, services, features, and site design best practices.
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint's role in business processes and workflow automation.

Preferred Skills :

  • Experience with XML, XSD, XSLT, CAML, and LINQ.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Microsoft BI Stack, and other database management systems.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry and knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, CDC guidelines, and network security frameworks.
  • Experience working with Microsoft products and SolarWinds tools.

Education & Certifications:

Required:

Bachelor's Degree in a related field OR 5+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Microsoft SharePoint Certification.
