Tesla is looking for a Senior Project Manager to work on one of the most progressive vehicle distribution models in the world. Candidates for this job have strong collaboration skills, exceptional ability to gain buy-in and alignment with cross functional groups, a careful eye for detail, can provide quick and strategic solutions, and possess the ability to develop, lead, report progress, and execute on plans of all sizes. The ideal candidate can adapt to sudden changes, manage difficult and complex challenges, establish clear roadmaps, maintain regular updates to leadership, and work collaboratively with excellent oral and written communication skills. We are looking for self-motivated team players interested in creating excellent customer experience, working with multiple departments to develop new technology, and continuously improving on the process, execution, and performance of our finished vehicle shipping operations. Candidates must have a positive attitude and extreme determination to build an advanced vehicle distribution network capable of supporting the fastest growing automotive company in history. We seek individuals who take extreme pride in their work and can appreciate that achieving Tesla’s mission is not possible in a typical M-F 9-5. This job will require some nights and weekends, may land you in a new market for a month or two, and includes responsibilities and endeavors not listed below.
What You'll Do
Ensure that stakeholders (internal and external) are provided excellent partnership including quick responses, alignment, and regular updates on progress and deliverables Facilitate project prioritization with a focus on value add to business and stakeholder alignment. Conduct regular meetings and send clear, concise, and timely updates regularly on projects Lead by example, and train team members on best practices to accomplish action items and deliver high quality work. Work collaboratively to prepare statistical or detailed reporting for an audience Preparation of required materials and documentation with aggressive deadlines Ability to present project updates and deliverables at an executive level. Proactively identify, assess, communicate, and work to resolve project risks Ability to navigate complex team dynamics and work well with a variety of skill levels and personality types Establish clear ownership of action items and buy-in to drive timelines and deliverables on project action items. Provide regular updates to stakeholders and leadership team
What You'll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience PMP certification preferred 2+ years of experience in Logistics preferred Excellent computer skills, especially in Excel and other database systems. Experience in Vizio and MS Project or other Project Management software. Experience with Tableau or other database visualization software. Experience with software development preferred Adaptable and enthusiastic to changes in role scope Basic knowledge of accounting functions and relative information retrieval Ability to travel up to 10%
