Microsoft Exchange Administrator

Duties

Resolving and supporting software and hardware related escalation events.

Maintenance and administration of Microsoft Exchange servers and Office 365 accounts.

Maintain and administer computer systems both physical and virtual.

This include maintaining documentations related to schedules and monitoring system backup logs.

This includes activating, deactivating, archiving and managing Active Directory user groups and security levels.

Responsible for maintaining file servers. Adding and archiving private and public shares as needed.

This is a coordinated responsibility with the security team, support team, and the infrastructure team.

Responsible for maintaining VPN accounts and systems/hardware.

This includes activating and deactivating, and troubleshooting VPN problems.

Assists the teams in the administration of business systems and servers.

Assisting with new hardware/server/Data Center buildouts and configurations/migrations.

Self-starter and actively assisting with the creation of new policies and procedures around infrastructure and technology used throughout the company.

Mentor/assist in the training of existing specialist within the IT organization.

Conducts all assignments as a professional and role model with a sense of urgency.

Uses professional communication and conflict resolution techniques as required.

Works with the team on projects assigned to achieve all goals and expectations within the time frame assigned.

Requirements

Expert level Exchange & O365 roll out & set up skills

High degree of knowledge with Exchange/O365 in both administration and rollout/setup.

Virtual server/VMWare experience with server stand-up/provisioning and maintenance.

Active Directory/DC skills around combining domains, creating policies, and AD cleanup/maintenance.

Knowledge of Proofpoint, Array Network Appliances & Powershell Scripting a plus

Non-Technical Skill(s): The applicant must be able to manage multiple projects and/or tasks concurrently. Must be a self-starter & be able to use own judgment/initiative to undertake activities with minimal supervision. The Candidate must also have excellent oral & written communications skills as well as the ability to work alone or within a team environment.
