This role within UHC Community & State (C&S) will report within the health plan and be responsible for the coordination and leading of network priorities and initiatives within Medicaid and Dual Special Needs plans. Responsible for advocacy with DHHS and State provider associates, network initiatives and program as well as identification and execution of innovative payment models with shared partners, providers, and state partner.

Primary Responsibilities
- Dedicated point of contact for any and all provider issues and questions
- Focus on non-par conversions to par to ensure appropriate network to meet increasing C&S membership
- Provider & LTSS support
- Support for provider relations management with key provider organizations including but not limited to:
- NC Medical Society
- NC Academy of Family Practices
- NC Pediatrics
- NC Association of Health Plans
- NC Hospital Association
- Explore and accelerate VBC and NC’s required innovative payments models, including ancillary providers
- Support and promote use of digital capabilities, API and advanced technologies to reduce provider administrative burden
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience with provider contract negotiations
- 7+ years of experience with innovative payment models, ie risk, shared risk, Making Care Primary, ACOs
- 7+ years of experience leading strategic provider relationships with CINs, ACOs, hospitals
- All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy
