Deca Architecture is seeking an architectural designer to join our growing firm. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of office experience, is familiar with Revit and is excited to learn and grow as part of a dynamic design practice. Deca offers architectural, interior design and urban planning services and has traditionally focused on local public, educational, health care and hospitality work. Our approach to design is client-centered, design-forward and seeks to leverage the strengths of all team members.

Position. We seek a talented and motivated architectural designer on the path to licensure who is excited about learning all the profession has to offer. Key responsibilities include:

-Assist in the design and development of architectural, interior and urban design projects

-Play a supporting role on larger project teams and work towards leading small projects

-Collaborate with Deca staff, consultants, contractors and clients to develop and execute projects

-Create graphic materials, 3d models and design and construction documents

-Assist with permitting, construction administration and project management tasks

Qualifications. The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor of architecture or higher degree from an accredited institution, have professional office experience and be highly motivated to advance their skills with new challenges. Revit experience is required and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and the Windows PC environment is strongly encouraged.

Deca values collaboration and good communication is critical. Therefore, strong writing, hand drawing and digital communication skills are encouraged. Candidates should possess the ability to self-organize, track progress, and work independently or as part of a team. The ability to maintain focus while participating in a fun, informal studio environment is key.

Candidates must be legally able to work in the United States, and anticipate spending a substantial portion of their time in the studio. Starting salary is commensurate with experience and skills, and includes full benefits package.
