We are looking for a proactive and versatile HR Generalist to join a prestigious and mid-size consulting firm with a global presence. The role will be based in Washington, DC, overseeing all HR functions for the New York and Washington DC offices. This role is being hired at a very exciting growth phase in the organization allowing a unique opportunity to have a direct contribution in elevating and evolving the group's HR function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • Develop and enforce HR policies and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Manage compensation, benefits administration, and performance reviews.
  • Facilitate training, development programs, and succession planning.
  • Address employee grievances and support conflict resolution.
  • Support employee performance management and development initiatives.
  • Maintain HR records and prepare reports as necessary.
  • Facilitate training sessions and employee engagement activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven HR experience with a strong knowledge of employment laws, and best HR practices.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • 5+ years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably within a consulting environment
  • Experience working in a dynamic and growing start-up environment is an advantage
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
