Role: QA Analyst (Time keeping + Workforce Management)
Location: MN (Remote work possible but local resource will be given preference)
Duration: 6 months contract
Responsibilities:
- Collaboration as a key QA member in both Waterfall and Agile teams.
- Take ownership of projects without an existing QA Process, establishing the solid baseline for testing activities.
- Assist in the transition from Waterfall to Agile/Scrum methodology to drive continuous improvement.
- Communicate effectively with the cross functional teams and Stakeholders on daily basis to ensure alignment and clarity.
- Assist in software Implementations.
- Review requirements and acceptance criteria for completeness.
- Identify potential gaps in requirements and process, communicating it efficiently and effectively.
- Create and execute Timekeeping test plans, scenarios and test cases to ensure Test coverage.
- Create and maintain regression suite.
- Provide estimates for test effort.
- Coordinate in UAT testing phase.
- Facilitate testing meetings, summarize results.
- Issue/defect reporting, provide go/no go recommendation based on test results.
- Create and maintain metrics.
- Prioritize, and organize documentation with consistency in formatting.
- Generate test data based on application requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of Time Keeping experience.
- Well-versed in testing methods.
- Must be an active listener.
- Disciplined in documentation.
- Collaborative team player who works effectively with all team levels.
- Ability to build and maintain strong team relationships.
- Creative problem solver, able to think outside the box for solutions.
- Experience in software implementations.
- Driver that can work with and assist in, propelling the team toward an Agile approach.
- Effectively communicate with different audiences.
- Proficient at identifying gaps.
- Ability to work in an ambiguous environment.
- Strong collaboration and coordination skills.
- Transparency and accountability.
- Provide team metrics on a weekly basis.
- Experience with ADO.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Nice to have:
- Payroll and Workforce Management (WFM) knowledge.
- API testing.
