The Senior Logistics Specialist plays a pivotal role in orchestrating and optimizing the entire logistics supply chain operation within a designated region. Responsibilities

Logistics Planning and Coordination:

  • Coordinate and plan the entire logistics supply chain operation within the designated region.
  • Ensure all tasks are planned safely to prevent injuries to personnel or equipment.
  • Act according to Noble's set of core values.
  • Communicate effectively and timely with rigs and stakeholders.
  • Ensure correct and sufficient documentation for all shipments using IFS and shipping documents.
  • Drive complex end-to-end logistics solutions to meet business requirements.

Operational Tasks

  • Create Transport Orders (TOs) and follow up with suppliers/forwarders.
  • Actively monitor invoice queues and resolve invoices promptly to ensure timely payment.
  • Evaluate Logistics Service Provider (LSP) quotes/cost sheets to ensure compliance with agreed tariffs and market standards and create Purchase Orders accordingly.
  • Ensure all roles and responsibilities are performed in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure adherence of shore base personnel to logistics SOPs.
  • Provide stakeholders with support and updates on shipment status as required.

Cost-saving And Process Improvement

  • Identify and address cost-saving opportunities and process improvement optimization.
  • Negotiate and approve freight charges from 3PL providers to ensure competitive transport costs.
  • Collaborate and connect with colleagues and suppliers through projects, meetings, business, and market reviews.

Compliance And Risk Mitigation

  • Ensure trade compliance rules, regulations, and laws are adhered to.
  • Mitigate potential risks in logistics operations.
  • Coordinate assigned air and ocean operational and out-of-gauge shipments with appointed third-party logistics providers (3PL).

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in International Logistics.
  • Experience in negotiating rates, planning, and executing project shipments (OOG).
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Operational knowledge of ERP Systems (IFS would be an asset).
  • Understanding of FCPA, UKBA, and OFAC provisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced multicultural environment with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with an ERP system.
  • Logistics/Supply Chain education or experience.
  • Experience within the Freight Forwarding industry.
  • Experience in global air, ocean, and ground shipments, including out-of-gauge moves.
  • IT literate, knowledgeable in ERP systems like IFS and MS Office.
