Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Hyperbaric Chamber Technician to join our healthcare facility in Baltimore, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of hyperbaric oxygen therapy chambers while ensuring optimal patient care and safety.
- Operate and monitor hyperbaric oxygen therapy chambers during treatment sessions
- Conduct pre-treatment safety checks and equipment inspections
- Monitor patients during treatments and respond to any emergencies
- Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of hyperbaric chambers
- Assist medical staff in patient preparation and positioning
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements
- Conduct equipment sterilization and cleaning procedures
- Participate in emergency response drills and training sessions
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current Certification in Hyperbaric Technology (CHT)
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in hyperbaric medicine or related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of hyperbaric chamber operations and safety protocols
- Strong understanding of diving physics and physiology
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining medical monitoring equipment
- Experience with medical documentation and record-keeping systems
- Excellent technical troubleshooting abilities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare regulations
