Title: Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in Azure services, Git, GitLab, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure solutions while ensuring security, reliability, and automation best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain reliable, high-scale architectures using Azure best practices.
  • Work with Git (branching strategies, commits, submodules) and GitLab (merge requests, CI/CD pipelines).
  • Utilize Harness for pipeline management, templates, secrets, delegates, and access control.
  • Manage Jira workflows, ticketing, and approval flows.
  • Work with open-source tooling such as Renovate, Docker, Helm, Kubectl, K9s, and JQ.
  • Implement and manage open-source components like Kubernetes (K8s), Emissary, and Keda.
  • Leverage Azure services, including AKS, VMSS, Storage, Key Vault, IAM role assignments, and Entra/AAD apps.
  • Apply authentication and authorization concepts such as basic auth-N/auth-Z, asymmetric cryptography, and certificate management.
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
  • Work with scripting and programming languages like Python, Go, PowerShell, and C# (desired but not required).

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Git, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Kubernetes (AKS), Helm, Docker, and related container technologies.
  • Knowledge of Azure Identity & Access Management (IAM), Key Vault, and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Python, Go, PowerShell, and C#.
  • Knowledge of asymmetric cryptography, authentication/authorization mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with Azure availability zones, service principals, MSI, and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
