  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.

  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Specialist with proven expertise in AWS DynamoDB to join our team in Tampa, FL. This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence from day one. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in GIS principles and practices, combined with hands-on experience in database management, specifically with DynamoDB, Oracle, and PostgreSQL. This role involves migrating GIS data from Oracle to PostgreSQL in an AWS environment, requiring a deep understanding of data parity and the ability to incorporate GIS-related changes. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, capable of working independently with the client team to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain GIS applications and databases.
  • Perform data migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL in an AWS environment, ensuring data integrity and parity.
  • Implement GIS-related changes during the migration process.
  • Utilize AWS DynamoDB for efficient data storage and retrieval within the GIS environment.
  • Write complex database queries, stored procedures, and functions in both Oracle and PostgreSQL.
  • Collaborate with the client team to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in GIS development and database management.

  • Proficiency in Oracle and PostgreSQL database administration, including writing queries, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Experience with data migration, particularly from Oracle to PostgreSQL.
  • Solid understanding of GIS data and its integration with database systems.
  • Experience working in an AWS cloud environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
