Job Summary: We are seeking a seasoned and results-oriented Vice President (VP) of Cybersecurity to drive the strategic direction of cybersecurity solutions & presales while fostering strong, long-term relationships with customers. This role requires, a seasoned technical leader who can engage with subject matter experts (SMEs) working on customer engagements while supporting business development and proposal teams in crafting compelling solutions. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in cybersecurity, customer relationship management, and a track record of identifying innovative solutions that support client missions and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and sustain long-term relationships with key stakeholders across customer organizations.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded.
  • Foster open lines of communication with customers to understand their goals, pain points, and evolving cybersecurity needs.
  • Oversee the delivery and performance of existing contracts, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and scope.
  • Conduct in-depth assessments of current cybersecurity implementations and solutions to identify areas for enhancement or greater efficiency.
  • Collaborate with customers to find gaps in their cybersecurity posture and propose solutions to address those gaps.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to bring additional value to customers through innovative cybersecurity solutions, ensuring they remain competitive and secure.
  • Identify new business opportunities by proposing enhancements to existing solutions and offering new services that align with the customer s evolving needs.
  • Engage with customers to uncover potential areas where the organization can provide further support, enhancing customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Lead the identification of innovative cybersecurity solutions that can enhance the customer s existing infrastructure and business operations.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving cybersecurity threats to position the company as a forward-thinking partner to customers.
  • Work closely with line organizations to implement customer feedback, ensuring that solutions evolve to meet the highest standards of performance and security.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities within existing accounts, including cross-selling and upselling opportunities that bring additional value to customers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Business Administration, or a related field (Master s degree preferred).
  • Extensive experience in the cybersecurity field, with proven success in managing customer relationships and existing contracts.
  • Extensive experience in presales, strategic leadership, and contract management with the ability to drive value creation.
  • Strong ability to identify areas of improvement within existing solutions and develop customized cybersecurity strategies to meet customer needs.
  • Proven ability to work with customers, identify business objectives, and implement solutions that address challenges and bring measurable value.
  • Experience in conducting assessments, gathering customer feedback, and utilizing that information to enhance contract performance.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, frameworks, and best practices (e.g., network security, endpoint security, cloud security).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and engage customers at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, PMP).
  • Experience working with government contracts and large-scale cybersecurity programs.
  • Expertise in cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and other emerging cybersecurity technologies.
  • Background in working with Contracting Officer's Representatives (COR) and managing long-term customer relationships in complex organizations.
