The candidate will be responsible for the design, programming, implementation, QA, and launch of a new application software used to track claims. They will need to have experience in creating, testing, and deploying new applications for healthcare spaces. They will need to have, at minimum, experience in developing applications in C/C# and experience in SQL-server based ETL.

The opportunity: The Jr. Developer improves and implements technical solutions. This role leverages technical expertise in database applications, C#, ETL processes, and automation in support of internal and external customer's data exchange and integration needs.

How you will contribute:

  • Develop and Maintain Applications: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality C# applications, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Code Review and Testing: Participate in code reviews, write unit tests, and ensure code quality and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and Debug: Identify and resolve software defects and issues, ensuring smooth operation of applications.
  • Implement Best Practices: Follow and promote best practices in software development, including coding standards, code reviews, and agile methodologies.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for developed software.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  • Other duties as needed or required.

What you will bring with you:

  • BS degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2 years as a C# developer in support of application software
  • Experience with SQL Server, Transact SQL and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and highly desirable - Informatica, and XML.
  • Expert knowledge of relational database applications and data query protocols (SQL Server, Structured Query Language)
  • Demonstrated ability to drive to deadlines, balancing multiple priorities, and ensuring quality standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and innovative thinking skills.
  • Experience with encounters or claims, business analysis experience in healthcare, preferably managed care or Medicaid is a plus.
  • Experience with knowledge of dental or medical insurance claims processing is a plus, including:
    • Hands on experience with HIPAA X12 EDI transaction formats including: 277, 835, 837, 997, 999, TA1
    • Familiarity with appropriate handling of PHI data
  • Required to attend additional training as requested/deemed necessary
