Our Client based inPeru, South Americainvolved in mining is seekingan Operational Manager with experience in handling Trading activities to join their team onsite in the city of Trujillo.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the procurement, suppliers and processing activities to ensure timely accumulation and quality controls.
• Apply their knowledge of operations and trading to adhere to strict quality.
• Utilize your background in underground mining to enhance mining operations, safety, and equipment maintenance.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with the local community, various suppliers, demonstrating a commitment to achieving timely shipments to customers.
• Oversee the processing plant operations to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Apply their expertise to optimize processes.
• Be actively involved in operations, providing practical guidance to the team.
• Responsible for coordinating the overall planning, execution, and reporting of operational readiness activities, including recruiting, systems implementation, policies and procedures development and implementation, training, and key interfaces between departments.
• Maintain overall schedule and follow up on shipment dates etc.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English and Spanish - You must be bilingual in English and Spanish with the ability to speakboth languages.

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Mine Engineering, or a related field.
• 10-15 years of experience in mining operations along with experience in trading and handling suppliers.
• Hands-on leadership style and the ability to adapt to a challenging high-altitude environment.
