Autosys Engineer Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for product ownership, software installation, configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting, and administration of job scheduling products used in the organization. Tools currently in use are Jobtrac, Control-M, and AutoSys Workload Automation.

Communicate progress, problems, and best practices to management and team.

Autosys Engineer Requirements:
An education in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field and/or 5 years experience in a mainframe and/or computer systems environment are desired for this position.
B.S., B.A., or B.B.A degree is preferred.
Fundamental knowledge of job scheduling tools and how they are used to run batch operations.
Experience with AutoSys Workload Automation is preferred.
Experience with Jobtrac and/or Control-M is highly desired.
Experience performing product software installation, configuration, lifecycle management, patching, and licensing management.
Experience creating scheduler jobs, job logic, schedules, calendars, as well as testing jobs and deploying jobs to production.
Experience writing software using modern programming languages or scripting is preferred.
Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux or Windows system administration tasks and security policies.
Working knowledge of IBM Mainframe operating environment.
Working knowledge of SQL databases such as SQL Server or Oracle.
Demonstrated ability to work with others as a team and with multiple systems groups and the organization to ensure the overall integrity of the batch scheduling environment.
Demonstrated ability to perform in-depth troubleshooting of events that involve the health and availability of the batch scheduling environment.
Demonstrated ability to interface and coordinate software product issues with external vendors, partners, or service providers.
Autosys Engineer Preferred Experience:
Experience with Control-M scheduling and administration. Some knowledge of Jobtrac scheduling on the mainframe.
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $60-75/hr (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
