During our 10-week internship program, you will gain meaningful work experience and exposure to the nation’s leading health care company, while learning what a career at UnitedHealth Group will have in store for you. You will be assigned to a team that aligns with your career aspirations, influence business recommendations to senior leadership teams and partner with a dedicated mentor and manager that will support you as you take on challenges of key importance to the company. You’ll be empowered to build relationships, drive innovation across the business, and share in a growth mindset. In addition, you’ll have access to analyst trainings and curriculum to provide you with foundational knowledge necessary to truly become a subject matter expert. You will also be invited to experience our Minnesota Headquarters, an experience garnered toward networking and development. The goal of our internship is to put people first and stay true to our mission - helping people live healthier lives and helping the health system work better for everyone.

- This is a Full-Time summer internship position working 40 standard business working hours Monday-Friday from June 3. 2025 - August 8, 2025*
- There will be no exception to any early or late start date requests**
- UnitedHealth Group is not able to offer visa sponsorship now or in the future for this position*
- This is an in-person position where you will need to be in the office 3 days of the week. **
- Performing quantitative and qualitative data analysis to provide business solutions
- Communicate analysis and interpretation to appropriate audience
- Analyze reporting related to the development and performance of products, processes and technologies
- Assisting team leads with various research projects pertaining to multiple content areas or business needs
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support strategic business initiatives
- Use relevant data to make fact-based decisions
- Database maintenance, reporting and extracting data for various reports and analyses, initiating database improvement
- Conduct audits and provides feedback to reduce errors and improve processes and performance
- Provide explanation and information to others on process improvement initiatives
- Collect relevant information by pulling and analyzing data from multiple systems
- Support team members with managing the development of products
- Support team members with the planning, organization and direct the completion of a project
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university during the internship. Internships are not intended for graduating seniors
- Must be a current junior with a graduation date of spring 2026
- Must be able to work full-time summer internship from June 3, 2025 - August 8, 2025*
- Ability to work in-office 3 days a week in your designated site location
- 1 or more of the following experiences or skills
- Completed an analytics related course- data, stats, economic, machine learning, etc
- Completed a project/project management course
- Relevant healthcare business related experience
- Data analysis experience through student clubs, personal projects or other forms of employment
- Experience working with SQL, Data visualization, or Tableau
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship is not available for this position
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Pursuing degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Data Analytics, or another business-related field
