Title: Manager, Enterprise Systems & Applications

Position Summary

The Enterprise Systems and Application Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the enterprise-level servers, systems and applications at Nashville State Community College and reports to the Assistant Director of Enterprise Applications and Infrastructure.

Essential Job Functions/Job Duties And Responsibilities

Manages the day-to-day operations of the enterprise servers, systems and applications. Designs and implements information technology strategies that align with College’s goals. Leads a team of system administrators and system analysts, providing guidance, training and support. Coordinates new project implementation strategies with the Enterprise Business Analysts to deploy, upgrade or decommission enterprise applications. Coordinates timelines, resources and teams for these projects. Recommends software and hardware, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

Collaborates with internal stakeholders to understand system needs and optimize processes. Coordinates with the Information Security Officer to develop policies and procedures related to the enterprise systems operations, ensuring compliance and standardization with all federal and state laws and TBR policies and procedures. Oversees data management strategies, including backup and disaster recovery. Works collaboratively with external vendors and the Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) to acquire new technologies and resolve issues. Manages vendor relationships for third-party enterprise applications.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in information systems, information technology, computer science or relevant field

Five (5) years’ IT related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with IT infrastructure, including servers, operating systems and enterprise applications

Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)

Experience with Microsoft 365

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of enterprise software solutions (i.e. ERP, CRM systems). Intermediate to advanced knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Ability to develop process documents and facilitate training and development of staff. Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Ability to communicate technical information effectively. Ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
