Sixth Street’s Summer Internship program is an opportunity for rising seniors to join our Engineering Team in our New York office. At Sixth Street, our team builds businesses, invests for growth, acquires assets, provides direct financing, identifies value in public markets, purchases royalty streams, and regularly develops first-of-their-kind structures to meet the strategic objectives of companies and management teams across all stages of growth.
The Sixth Street Engineering team is dedicated to applying technology to private and public market investments in a unique and progressive way. Our Engineers enjoy startup-style responsibilities and impact potential, an experienced leadership team, and the broad resources of Sixth Street, a $100B AUM investment firm. We are committed to hiring exceptional people with diverse experiences and backgrounds.
Overview of Program:
The annualized base pay for this position is expected to fall between $95,000 - $110,000 and will be prorated based on the duration of the Summer Internship program. The annualized base pay offered to the chosen candidate will be commensurate with a candidate’s relevant experience and other qualifications for the position, as determined by Sixth Street in its sole discretion. Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.

- Work within a small, agile Engineering team
- Assume ownership of software components and services
- Use technology to add scale and operating leverage to our business
- Contribute to all aspects of our SDLC from design to post-production monitoring
- Work with tools like GitHub, Jira, Docker, Snowflake, and AWS solutions
- Obtain hands-on, meaningful, and substantive work experience in a small class that is representative of our Analyst Program
- Currently enrolled in an accredited program and must be on track to graduate in either Winter 2025 or Spring 2026
- Excellent academic record – please include GPA on your resume and note that we may request a copy of your transcript
- STEM majors and knowledge of Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, C++, MATLAB and other programing languages preferred
- Excellent work ethic and high degree of professionalism and commitment to team and a goal-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast paced, changing environment
- Ideal candidate will be a team player, able to work collaboratively across different teams
- Highest ethical standards and integrity
