Role Description
The Assistant Contracts Manager, Federal Construction Projects is a key role within the Contract Management Division (CMD). This position is responsible for managing federal construction contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and facilitating contract execution. The role requires collaboration with federal agencies, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure contract terms, deliverables, and construction requirements are met efficiently and in compliance with federal and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with federal construction contract terms, including adherence to Statement of Work (SOW) and Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements.
- Review, track, and process contract modifications, change orders, and amendments to ensure accurate project execution.
- Act as the primary liaison with federal clients, including Contracting Officers (COs) and Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs).
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Construction Site Teams to ensure that contract requirements are clearly communicated and implemented.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance, including adherence to federal Davis-Bacon Act wage requirements, safety regulations, and performance obligations.
- Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and agency-specific guidelines, conducting internal audits and risk assessments.
- Support procurement and subcontracting efforts, ensuring flow-down compliance and small business subcontracting plans.
- Prepare and submit compliance reports and documentation as required by federal agencies.
- Monitor project budgets and construction costs, ensuring expenses align with federal contract terms.
- Review and approve invoices in collaboration with Finance, resolving billing or payment discrepancies related to construction activities.
What We’re Looking For
6-10
- years of experience managing federal construction contracts.
- Proficiency in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS) and federal construction requirements.
- Experience in contract compliance, subcontract management, and government reporting.
- Familiarity with Davis-Bacon Act, OSHA regulations, and government construction standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in construction contract management systems (e.g., Deltek, Procore, or similar).
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, Contract Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Special skills license such as Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Elevator
Salary:
$120,000- $160,000
