Job Classification: Student, non-exempt, hourly timesheet

Rate of Pay: $8.25/hour

Summary: The purpose of this position is to work during day/evening hours assisting library staff with their duties. Work is to be performed outside of class time. The length of employment is routinely the academic year (fall and spring terms); however, some work may be performed during the summer as needed.

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist library patrons
  • Shelve books and magazines, file, clip newspaper articles, and keep statistics; create displays
  • Keep library and its equipment working and clean
  • Report problems in the library to supervisor to manage
  • Dust, clean, and help closing the library
  • Complete timesheets accurately and appropriately

Abilities: Good people skills and a helpful attitude; strong technology and database research skills and ability to communicate them to others; good organizational skills and take direction; attention to detail and accuracy completing tasks.

Education and Experience: HS Diploma or equivalent
