Position: IT Project Manager

Location: Miami, FL - Hybrid Tues-Thurs onsite

Duration : 6 Month Contract with potential extension

Position Overview:

The IT Project Manager is a leadership role within IT and is responsible for all aspects of technical projects from concept through deployment. They must ensure their assigned projects are well managed and that the project goals are delivered via the established Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC). This individual ensures that the projects meet or exceed expectations regarding scope, schedule, budget, and quality. This position manages relationships with multiple stakeholders. This individual identifies risks and issues and leads the team to resolution and/or escalation. This position collects, measures, reports, and communicates project status with the project team and IT leadership. This role manages multiple high-dollar, high risks projects in support of IT infrastructure shipboard and/or shoreside. Project/program teams include 20+ matrixed resources with a typical budget from $1+ million. This role participates in strategic and operational processes while working with leaders from the IT and Business Teams as well as other brands as required. S/he must be highly organized, detail orientated with the ability to adeptly balance multiple competing priorities, as well as a skilled team player, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well and collaborate with internal and external partners.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The Project Manager will be accountable for the following activities:

- Must be able to manage and own multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and be accountable for their implementations.

- Must be able to manage multiple high-dollar, high-risk projects simultaneously

- Must be able to develop, implement, and maintain the Project schedule and Plan.

- Manage scope, timeline, and budget for projects and be able to hold others accountable. Creates and communicates the project schedule.

- Identifies key issues, risks, mitigation plans and can drive to resolution and or execute mitigation steps.

- Can escalate issues as required to Senior Management to remove obstacles impeding successful project implementations.

- Provides leadership and direction to the project team and manages cross team dependencies.

- Day-to-day liaison with project stakeholders and technical teams

- Responsible for conducting effective meetings where the objectives are met, and the project is moving forward. Encourages collaboration between project team members.

- Reports on project status to increase visibility and proactive monitoring.

- Coordinates the preparation of requests for proposals, participates in vendor selection, and contract negotiation where appropriate.

- Manages vendors participating in project and ensures end-product fulfills the contract and meets the project sponsors expectations.

Specific Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience using Service Now. We will be standing up a new instance and redesigning all our processes. They will need to know how to navigate the current instance to pull data for review etc.
  • 5+ years of process mapping experience.
  • 5+ years' experience with Service Now security profiles, set up and approval process, and onboarding. Track the process to create and implement all the new SNOW processes.
  • 3+ years vendor management
  • 3+ years of IT Infrastructure Services Outsourcing
  • Lead coordination and communication with Internal and external teams during IT service transition.
  • Experience managing the creation and implementation of service now processes specifically for ITIL. Need to have some business process mapping experience.
  • Experience managing a transition of infrastructure support from 1 vendor to another.


Additional Requirements:
  • PMP certification or equivalent or 15+ years in relevant PMO experience.
  • Candidates must reside in South Florida.
  • Onsite 3 days a week. Tues, Wed and Thurs 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Minimum travel
  • 5+ years with Infrastructure Project experience.
  • 5+ years with Waterfall experience.
  • Experience using Clarity PPM tool is preferred, but not required.
  • Agile experience is preferred, but not required.
  • MBA preferred, but not required.
  • Previous cruise line industry experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience working with shipboard deployments is preferred, but not required.
  • Broad knowledge in a variety of technologies such as:
    • Windows and Unix operating systems
    • Cloud migrations to Azure, Google, and AWS
    • Virtualization technologies such as VMWare
    • Databases such as Oracle and MS SQL
    • Storage technologies such as Dell Compellent, EMC VNX/Unity/Vmax, Veritas NetBackup
    • Networking devices such as core switches, wireless controllers, satellites and/or wireless networks such Cisco
