What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Provide educational and support programs that enhance deployment and mission readiness for military families
  • Conduct outreach efforts targeting at-risk groups, including first-term service members and socially isolated families
  • Develop and deliver training and workshops on various topics, including deployment support and family readiness
  • Facilitate consultative services related to career decision-making and personal financial management for service members and their families
  • Maintain accurate records of services delivered within the scheduling module in the FFSMIS system

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in social science or related behavioral science field, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience in advocacy services and collaboration with internal and external resources
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, along with assessment and advocacy skills
  • Ability to provide education and consultative services to military families regarding career and financial management
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience working with family programs or military social service agencies
  • Familiarity with the FFSMIS system
  • Personal understanding of the military lifestyle as a family member
