Project Manager with PMP, Sage500 ERP system and SQL Server migrations

7-9 month contract

100% remote (prefer eastern/central time zone)

Project Planning & Execution:

• Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with business objectives.
• Engage with Sage and internal stakeholders to initiate and manage the upgrade project.
• Develop and oversee the execution plan for application-level migrations and system upgrades.

ERP & Infrastructure Migration:

• Manage the transition from the current Sage500 ERP system to a new infrastructure.
• Oversee the migration of SQL Server 2012 to SQL Server 2022.
• Coordinate with technical teams to ensure minimal downtime and risk mitigation during migration.

Collaboration & Coordination:

• Work closely with an internal PMO and internal project managers to ensure alignment with enterprise IT standards.
• Collaborate with the hardware-focused Project Manager on system compatibility and deployment strategies.
• Utilize ServiceNow for project tracking, task management, and reporting.

Stakeholder Management & Reporting:

• Act as the primary liaison between IT leadership, technical teams, and third-party vendors (Sage).
• Provide regular project updates, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with IT governance and security policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 5-7+ years of IT Project Management experience, preferably in ERP upgrades and large-scale software migrations.
• Proven experience managing ERP systems (preferably Sage500 or similar) and SQL Server migrations.
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, application migration, and ITIL processes.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage vendors, and drive project success.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications (preferred).
