
Business Analyst
Department Overview
The Portfolio Management & Integrated Change Control function works with line of business portfolio managers, cross-functional teams and leaders to manage work plan change control budget and expectations toward completion of our annual Electric and Gas Operations work plans, across various capital and expense budgets, while seeking to eliminate risk and improve operations
Job Responsibilities
Works closely with a high performing team to govern work plan changes to portfolios
Develop prototype process or tool solutions to intake change requests and reports
Develops recommendations regarding new or better reports or tools based on assessment of stakeholder needs, trends, strategic direction, and organizational priorities
Will solicit and document business and technical requirements for enhancements of existing portfolio and change management processes and systems
Applies Advanced technical skills using systems and applications such as SAP Financials & Work Management, SAP Business Warehouse (BW), Excel, and PowerPoint, and Power Platform tools (Power App, Power BI, Power Automate) develop intakes, reports, analysis, and deliverables
Influences and negotiates to gain agreement from various stakeholders and drive process improvement and change where appropriate
As a collaborative team player with good work ethics, works collaboratively within and across cross- functional teams across the company
Participates in and may lead or follow cross-department continuous process improvement efforts to improve efficiencies and quality
Applies subject matter expertise and technology experience to wide-ranging planning processes and challenges
Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience required
Job-related experience, 3 years
Proficiency in Microsoft office tools (Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
Advanced data analysis skills, knowledgeable in collecting data, organizing, synthesizing, reporting, recognizing trending and anomalies, drawing conclusions, and developing recommendations
Good written and succinct oral communication skills
Proficiency in PowerBI, Tableau
Working knowledge of financial systems (ex: SAP, BW)
Knowledge of project management/work scheduling concepts, methods, and practices
Knowledge of utility, governance or regulatory or similar industry processes and practices.
