Role Description:
Join our Corporate Technology team within the Enterprise Transformation Office IT. We manage development and business change software, including Planview PPM, Jira Cloud/Jira Service Management, Rally, and Momentum. We're seeking a report developer experienced in developing Power BI and SSRS reports from the Planview Portfolios PPM SaaS application. Reporting to the Lead Business Analyst of Enterprise Transformation IT, you'll collaborate with the Transformation Office business to design, create, and deliver reporting solutions in Planview using Power BI tiles, SSRS reports within Planview, and Power BI workspace reports outside the Planview application.
Overview:
In this role, you'll act as the main interface between technology infrastructure and a specific business/functional area. You'll help define business requirements, build application and process specifications, coordinate with delivery teams, and ensure work is prioritized by business value and aligns with overarching business and technical strategies. You'll also be involved in writing technical materials/documentation and defining requirements for C-suite reporting from Planview, developing and delivering solutions using Power BI and occasionally SSRS.

- Create and maintain system documentation and best practices.
- Design, develop, deploy, and support reporting solutions for the Transformation Office business, working with the Application Owner, Application Admin, and Planview professional services.
- Define complex or enterprise-wide business needs for new and/or enhanced products, services, or optimized business processes.
- Develop relationships with senior-level internal and external business partners to ensure all business requirements are understood, documented, and met.
- Apply a lean-agile mindset to work projects.
- Work on initiatives of moderate complexity, size, and impact.
- Break down complex or vague problems and step through them in a rational way.
- Evolve decisions as new information is gained.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing new processes as technologies, risks, and methodologies evolve.
- Display dedication to helping team members and make suggestions to improve practices.
- Assist end users with functional issues or questions.
- Manage changes to existing configured screens or fields and add new configured screens/fields.
- Manage changes to dashboards, tiles, and portlets.
- Gather requirements, analyze, and make recommendations for product updates to the current vision.
- Assist in the creation, revision, and execution of test plans, functional testing, or application testing during rollout.
Business Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall Project Management and best practices.
- Demonstrate knowledge of product/flows within the supported domain.
- Articulate business needs and translate them into technology solutions.
- Make decisions focused on current and future business priorities, with fiscal responsibility.
- Understand the project management lifecycle from demand management through execution and closure.
Requirements:
- Typically, 5+ years in a technical business analysis, system admin, or development role for project management or change management software.
- Experience with Planview Project or Agile place developing reporting solutions in Power BI.
- Proficient in using Power BI to gather data from sources and create reports.
- Identify reporting needs and propose solutions.
- Knowledge of the latest best-of-breed technologies.
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences using multiple forms such as verbal and written.
- Demonstrate proficient understanding in multiple technologies/applications.
- Identify impacts across teams and coordinate across senior levels to manage dependencies and potentially competing priorities.
- Intermediate to advanced SQL proficiency.
- Solid understanding of how organizations manage work and resources and a thorough understanding of the processes and methodologies supporting organizational management practices.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Jira Cloud, Jira Service Management, and Rally.
- Experience building SSRS reports within Planview.
