This position will serve as the Administrative Associate II in the Division 3 Traffic unit. Â This employee will assist the Administrative Specialists I in performing a variety of clerical duties such as typing, filing, and answering phones, in addition to other duties assigned. Â This position must be able to operate office equipment such as a computer, printer, and scanner. Â Work will involve payroll entry and processing bills via the SAP computer system. Â This position will compose and type correspondence, process incoming mail, and prepare outgoing mail. Â The applicant must be able to work independently, report to work on time, and be a team player.

Applicants must submit an application that clearly reflects work experience that demonstrates the following

  • Customer service experience, including resolving customer issues
  • Experience with Microsoft Office using programs such as Access, Word, and Excel
  • Experience completing and/or maintaining records and reports
  • Experience with letter writing, using correct spelling, punctuation, and proofreading
  • Experience in record keeping

Should be detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task. Â Should have the ability to read, write, and act upon both verbal and written instructions. Â Employee will need to have written and verbal communication skills for daily contact with the public and other various customers. Â Be capable of answering a multi-line phone and maintaining and organizing records. Â Should have the ability to use proper grammar, vocabulary, spelling, and office terminology to compose and proofread all correspondence. Â This position may be required to work after hours during an emergency, such as a hurricane or snow/ice event. Â North Carolina driver's license is preferred. Â Applicants with SAP R/3, CARS, and TIMS experience will be given preference.
