Position Summary

This position will mainly handle the employee relation issues to include, investigations, perform write ups attend to disciplinary issues, etc. In addition, this position may provide support to the various areas of the HR department to include but not limited to benefits, recruiting, training, compliance, etc. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an HR support role or generalist capacity.
  • Understanding of basic employee relations principles and workplace compliance.
  • Familiarity with employment laws such as FLSA, ADA, ADEA, and EEO regulations.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate in English at an advanced level.
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and take initiative on assigned tasks.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, vendors and fellow employees
  • Possess strong analytical skills
  • Ability to think logically, establish and follow procedures, instructions and make sound decision
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, extended hours, holidays, and/or weekends as needed

Preferred

  • Bilingual proficiency in English & Spanish.
  • Exposure to conducting workplace investigations.
  • Experience supporting employee engagement initiatives.

Primary

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in monitoring employment practices to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Support employee relations investigations by gathering information and documenting findings.
  • Assist in tracking disciplinary actions and maintaining employee relations metrics such as turnover, complaints, and disciplinary trends.
  • Provide support in addressing employee relations matters by ensuring consistent interpretation of policies.
  • Help maintain and update HR policies and procedures in alignment with employment law changes.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training manuals for HR-related processes.

Secondary

  • Attend HR seminars and training programs to develop knowledge in employee relations.
  • Support HR initiatives related to compensation, benefits, and retention strategies.
  • Assist in conducting exit interviews and compiling separation trend reports.
  • Provide administrative support for performance appraisal processes.
  • Perform additional HR-related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Subject to physical is required along with other tests as applicable
  • The employee is regularly required to use their hands and fingers
  • The employee frequently is required to talk and/or hear
  • The employee is continuously required to sit
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • Immediately report incidents involving injury, illness, or property damage
  • Wear protective PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as instructed or necessary

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED

Receives direct supervision from the HR Assistant Manager and indirectly reports to the HR Director. This position does not have any direct reports.

CONDITIONS

  • Indoors office - Exposed to controlled temperature and office environment
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate
