  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IBM DS8K/CSM Specialist with extensive knowledge in IBM DS8K, Hyperswap, and CSM Replication. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the configuration, sizing, forecasting, and management of IBM DS8K systems, as well as providing knowledge transfer to less experienced team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • IBM DS8K Expertise:

    • Configure and manage IBM DS8K storage systems.
    • Perform sizing and forecasting to meet business requirements.
    • Optimize all configuration settings for peak performance.

  • Hyperswap Management:

    • Implement and manage Hyperswap for high availability and disaster recovery.
    • Ensure seamless failover and failback processes.

  • CSM Replication:

    • Handle both synchronous and asynchronous replication scenarios.
    • Ensure data integrity and consistency across replicated environments.

  • SMS/Client Routines:

    • Develop and maintain SMS routines for efficient storage management.
    • Provide support and troubleshooting for client routines.

  • Knowledge Transfer:

    • Mentor and train less experienced team members.
    • Share best practices and provide guidance on complex issues.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with IBM DS8K storage systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of Hyperswap and CSM Replication.
  • Strong understanding of SMS and client routines.
  • Proven ability to size, forecast, and configure storage solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and mentoring abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with other IBM storage solutions.
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and implementation.
  • Certification in IBM storage technologies.
