Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and support business-critical mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and other mainframe tools and technologies.
- Lead disaster recovery planning, ensuring business applications are recoverable and resilient.
- Work on high-volume batch processing environments, supporting FTP/NDM file transmission, and processing in large-scale systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and transform legacy Mainframe processes to scalable, cloud-based or on-prem distributed systems leveraging microservices and containers.
- Participate in technical design and documentation to support application design, development, and deployment.

Required Skills:
- Mandatory: Expertise in Assembler, Mainframes, COBOL, DB2, JCL, and CICS.
- Strong working knowledge of CA7, MQ, and VSAM.
- Proficiency in Linux, UNIX, and z/OS operating systems.
- In-depth understanding of mainframe development and modern object-oriented development.
- Experience with high-volume data processing in both legacy mainframe environments and scalable distributed or cloud-based environments.
- Hands-on experience with file transmission (FTP/NDM) and batch processing in very high-volume settings.
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture and event processing models/platforms.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with microservices and containers in modern distributed environments.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms for application modernization and migration (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
