Contract Specialist (Project Coordinator)
Description:
Business Initiative/Purpose: (Goal, Business Impact, Accomplishments from the work)
- This project will review 3rd Party contracts and determine if data feeds are candidates to move to the Snowflake environment. If they are, contract changes will be done in conjunction with sourcing, project coordination will occur with vendors and Snowflake to ensure a seamless transition.
Role Responsibilities: (What they will be doing)
- Review upcoming expiring contracts and determine vendor contracts that provide batch data.
- Create a central repository to document:
- Vendors that qualify/ do not qualify to source / disseminate data through Snowflake
- Data categories, data consumers, consumption patterns, roles/access for existing contracts, spend, Business Owners etc.
- Compare expiring contracts to determine overlap in services and identify opportunities for savings.
- Work with the Service Manager to contact vendors to start discussions about delivering these files in Snowflake.
- Coordinate between Snowflake contacts and the vendors to set up the new routing of the data.
- Work with Snowflake to set-up listing in Marketplace.
- Track any changes to contract amounts to determine if any cost savings were realized.
- Work with the leadership team to define/update approach strategy and roadmap for 3rd party data management at Truist
- Repeat this process on a monthly basis with contracts coming up for renewal.
- Weekly Status reporting.
Bachelor Degree: (Required, Preferred or Not Required)
- Preferred.
Must Have Skills/Prior Experiences: (Vendor should not submit any candidate that does not have these skills/prior experience.)
- Ability to read and understand basic contract language.
- Communication, Time management, and negotiation skills
- Project coordination experience
- Issue tracking and follow up
PlNice to Have Skills/Prior Experiences: (Hiring Manager DOES NOT require these skills/ prior experience. However candidates with any of these will be looked at first.)
- Project management certifications
- Prior experience managing contracts
- Prior experiencing working with 3rd party data providers.
