Position: Windows Server Administrator/ Windows Administrator
Duration: 6 months right to hire
Location: Harrisburg, PA
Work mode: Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week.
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain Windows Server environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Configure and manage DNS and Windows Active Directory, including user and group management, GPOs, and security policies.
- Deploy and configure hardware components, including network cards and devices.
- Implement and manage Storage Area Networks (SANs) to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Perform regular backup and restore operations to safeguard critical data.
- Apply patches and updates to servers and related infrastructure to maintain security and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve server and network issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of server infrastructure with other systems.
- Document configurations, procedures, and changes to maintain accurate records.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve server infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Windows Server administration and engineering.
- Deep understanding of DNS and Windows Active Directory.
- Proven experience in configuring and deploying hardware, network cards, and devices.
- Strong knowledge of SANs, including configuration and management.
- Expertise in backup and restore operations.
- Proficiency in patch management and server maintenance.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCSA) are a plus.
