Position: Windows Server Administrator/ Windows Administrator

Duration: 6 months right to hire

Location: Harrisburg, PA

Work mode: Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain Windows Server environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Configure and manage DNS and Windows Active Directory, including user and group management, GPOs, and security policies.
  • Deploy and configure hardware components, including network cards and devices.
  • Implement and manage Storage Area Networks (SANs) to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Perform regular backup and restore operations to safeguard critical data.
  • Apply patches and updates to servers and related infrastructure to maintain security and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve server and network issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of server infrastructure with other systems.
  • Document configurations, procedures, and changes to maintain accurate records.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve server infrastructure.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Windows Server administration and engineering.
  • Deep understanding of DNS and Windows Active Directory.
  • Proven experience in configuring and deploying hardware, network cards, and devices.
  • Strong knowledge of SANs, including configuration and management.
  • Expertise in backup and restore operations.
  • Proficiency in patch management and server maintenance.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCSA) are a plus.
