Copado Release Manager

- Ability to pass a federal background investigation including a review of criminal, residential, and financial history of the last 7 years
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage Salesforce releases, patches, and hotfixes.
- Utilize Copado to implement and optimize continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Ensure proper version control, sandbox management, and release branching strategies.
- Monitor release activities and troubleshoot deployment issues.
- Work closely with Salesforce developers, administrators, business analysts, and QA teams to align on release timelines and priorities.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring smooth delivery of enhancements and fixes.
- Conduct release readiness reviews, stakeholder meetings, and post-release retrospectives.
- Identify areas for process improvement and enhance deployment efficiency, automation, and compliance.
- Develop Copado templates, automation scripts, and deployment policies to streamline the release cycle.
- Implement best practices in Salesforce DevOps and governance.
- Enforce change management processes to ensure controlled and auditable deployments.
- Maintain compliance with security, regulatory, and corporate governance policies.
- Track release metrics and KPIs to measure performance and efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Salesforce release management and DevOps.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Copado for release automation.
- Strong background in Salesforce development lifecycle (SDLC) and CI/CD practices.
- Proficiency in Salesforce metadata API, Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, and SOQL.
- Expertise in Copado features, including pipelines, user stories, version control, and rollback.
- Experience with Git-based version control systems (GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab).
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or other CI/CD tools is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security models, sandboxes, and integrations.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
- Agile/Scrum experience preferred.
Preferred Certifications
- Copado Certified Administrator or Copado Certified Consultant
- Salesforce Certified DevOps Specialist
- Salesforce Administrator, Developer, or Architect certifications
