The Third Party Vendor Risk Assessor will be responsible for evaluating and managing the risks associated with third-party vendors. This role involves conducting thorough assessments, identifying potential risks, and working with vendors to mitigate these risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of third-party vendors.
- Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in vendor operations.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Monitor and review vendor performance and risk levels on an ongoing basis.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of risk assessments and findings.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Skills:
- Bachelor s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Information Security, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in risk assessment, vendor management, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CRISC, CISA, CISSP) are a plus.
Education:
Years of experience: 8-10 years
Education Preferred: - Bachelor s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Information Security, Information Technologies or security certification (CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CRISC)
Preferred: Degree plus security certifications
Leader is open to candidates that do not have 4-year degree but must have a certificate and applicable/comparable experience
