Position: Facilities Engineer

Project Details:
- Scope of Work: Technical oversight on macro new builds, small cells, relocations, and capacity-driven projects. Ensure month-over-month targets are met.
- Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Create detailed designs for new build macro cell sites, small cells, DAS/IBV sites, MW systems, and dark fiber networks in CND.
- Complete transport-related milestones in CND (Work Order), Fuze (CQ), etc.
- Experience in EOS to NNI conversions and disconnecting old services.
- Audit and document fiber assets and end-to-end design circuit paths.
- Create new equipment, segments, and paths in CND for ENSE hub migrations and cell site router migrations.
- Ensure CND stays synchronized with FUZE, INAM, and IOP.
- Analyze cost and time for different backhaul solutions.
- Deliverables and Milestones:
- Ethernet over Sonet
- LIT to LIT
- Microwave to LIT
- 10G uplifts

- Provide technical support and project management for the design, acquisition, and implementation of all equipment supporting network infrastructure projects.
- Plan, design, and implement the latest transport technologies in support of our 5G network rollout.
- Manage vendor selection, contract negotiation, RFP, and ongoing relationships.
- Utilize an internal database to document all fiber assets and design end-to-end circuit paths.
- Develop and maintain circuit delivery schedules and manage vendors to meet deliverables.
- Run utilization reports to evaluate capacity and issue design changes as needed.
- Work with network planning on strategic initiatives to develop future technology solutions.
- Collaborate with other network groups to ensure projects meet company objectives.
- Manage capital spending to align with forecasted spend and project timelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Three or more years of relevant work experience in the cellular/telecommunications industry.
- Knowledge of IP addressing, routing principles, and network design.
- Experience with Granite or CND circuit database.
- PMP Certification.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support the design of the companys interconnect network (e.g., leased lines, dark fiber, microwave).
- Assist in the development and expansion of networks through provisioning, coordinating, and implementing circuits.
- Maintain capacity by analyzing the network and forecasting future needs.
- Coordinate the acquisition and installation of equipment supporting the network infrastructure.
- Provide design and implementation support for data routers, Ethernet backhaul interconnect, and other supporting data systems.
- Manage vendor relations including equipment, product, and/or service selection, procurement, budgets, and performance.
