About The Role

Playground is at an important phase of growth and this role is responsible for executing projects that will drive new and repeat customers. We’re seeking a creative, data-driven, and relentlessly curious MBA candidate to work with marketing leaders to build best-in-class demand generation and product marketing functions. You’ll dive deep into our marketing funnel, finding opportunities to enhance quality, efficiency, and scale. You’ll be instrumental in developing channels both from 0 to 1 and into a scalable function.

This isn’t just an internship — it’s a chance to tackle high-stakes projects, experiment with growth tactics, and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced startup. What You'll Do

  • You’ll be a catalyst for marketing-lead growth by identifying opportunities to boost quality, efficiency, and volume across channels. You’ll improve our data model to extract actionable insights that help you and our teams make smarter decisions.
  • Playground moves fast, releasing features and products each week that make our customers’ lives easier. You’ll build a framework for amazing product launches and announcements, working directly with the Product and Customer Experience teams to uncover customer growth opportunities.
  • You’ll drive growth for our YouTube channel by developing strategies to increase subscribers, engagement, and lead conversion. You’ll write scripts, optimize the channel, analyze performance, and implement creative tactics to create a new lead generation channel.
  • You’ll build on our lifecycle marketing function, using a data-driven approach to shape email content strategy and create prospect segments by intent and firmographics. You’ll identify key elements that resonate with our audience to drive email engagement and conversion.
  • Work with the content team to implement, test, and validate new growth tactics on the marketing website, conduct A/B tests across channels to boost conversions, and publish winning content.

What You Need

  • Currently enrolled in an MBA program, with a strong interest in marketing, growth strategy, and technology.
  • Strong desire to build a career in marketing, with a demonstrated interest in early-stage growth.
  • Some experience — whether through internships, personal projects, or other entrepreneurial efforts — that shows you’re ready to dive deeper.
  • You’re a creative thinker who stays up to date with the latest marketing trends and tactics.
  • You enjoy using data to inform decisions, analyze performance, and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • You’ve pursued further education, certifications (like Google, HubSpot, or LinkedIn), or extracurricular activities related to marketing/growth.
  • You have a desire to build something great alongside ambitious individuals.
  • We're a fully in-person team! You’ll work in our office in SoHo, NYC.
  • Can-do attitude.
  • Bias towards action.

Compensation

  • The hourly wage range for this position is $40 /hour, subject to standard withholding and applicable taxes.
  • Job level and actual compensation will be decided on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location. The listed range is a guideline, and the range for this role may be modified.
