Description

SAIC is seeking entry-level professionals to join the Ground-Based Radar Maintenance and Sustainment Services (GMASS) for the summer of 2025, GMASS has several Systems Engineering internship positions available. These interns will be performing systems support, design, and sustainment activities on a government radar system. Upon completion of the internship, present project overview and summary to executive team. All the positions under this job requisition will be located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

These positions will provide opportunities to gain experience with either sustainment or development while working in a team environment. The interns will be expected to complete technical tasks to support the in-flight project teams with the assistance of a technical mentor. These positions will require understanding the current implementation, research, evaluation/analysis of problems/issues, and propose improvements to solutions and processes.

Roles and responsibilities potentially include:
  • Work side-by-side with subject matter experts to document and update legacy hardware and software systems
  • Review and assess requirements, diagrams, and documents
  • Project Research, Implementation, and Presentation
  • Recommend solutions to problems/issues that impact the project
  • Development and assembly of first article solutions
  • Determine and examine software alternatives
  • Contribute to project planning
  • Constructively challenge and improve processes related to the specific assignment
  • Document own work and update status for team
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Pursuit of BS or MS in a STEM related degree field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
  • **Must be willing and able to obtain a Secret security clearance NOTE: Federal law requires ship to obtain a clearance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn
  • Highly proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio

Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
