We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst (Biofuels Compliance Speciality) to ensure regulatory compliance in biofuels markets. The ideal candidate will have expertise in EPA regulations, RIN markets, LCFS credits, and fuel pathway certification. This role requires strong analytical skills, regulatory reporting experience, and the ability to work with biofuel producers, traders, and obligated parties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) and state fuel programs (LCFS, CFP, CI).
  • Monitor and interpret EPA regulations, RIN markets, LCFS credits, and fuel pathway certification processes.
  • Conduct regulatory reporting, data management, and compliance audits.
  • Analyze biofuel feedstocks, production pathways, and life-cycle emissions.
  • Maintain and operate compliance software and data management tools.
  • Work closely with biofuel producers, traders, and obligated parties to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Engage with regulators, industry stakeholders, and sustainability organizations.
  • Stay updated on voluntary carbon markets and sustainability reporting.
  • Provide expertise on regulatory compliance and environmental law (certification in these areas is a plus).
  • Operate independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s/Master s degree in Environmental Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in biofuels compliance and regulatory programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of EPA regulations, RIN markets, LCFS credits, and compliance procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with regulatory reporting and data management.
  • Familiarity with biofuel feedstocks, production pathways, and life-cycle emissions analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with industry stakeholders and regulators.
  • Proficiency in compliance software and data management tools.
  • Understanding of voluntary carbon markets and sustainability reporting.
  • Certification in regulatory compliance or environmental law is a plus.
