Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Analyst to support existing technology solutions and assist with ongoing technology initiatives within the Investment Accounting and Corporate Action business teams. The ideal candidate will act as a Product Owner/Business Systems Analyst (BSA) for internal investment accounting tools, ensuring these tools effectively meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.
The role requires a deep understanding of investment accounting workflows, corporate actions processing, and technology solutions that support investment management operations. The successful candidate will manage business requirements, collaborate with development teams, and play a critical role in driving system enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Ownership & Business Analysis: Serve as the Product Owner/BSA for internal investment accounting tools, representing them to users and stakeholders.
- Project Facilitation: Lead technology projects from initiation to completion, including gathering and documenting requirements, working with the development team, and assisting with testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.
- Requirement Management: Manage and prioritize the business team’s backlog of requirements, ensuring efficient development and deployment.
- Investment Accounting & Corporate Action Workflows: Maintain a detailed understanding of these workflows and the technology solutions that support them.
- Data Analysis & Testing: Partner with the data team to evaluate processes, anticipate requirements, and identify opportunities for application or workflow enhancements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the IT Department, onshore/offshore teams, and third-party vendors to support software applications and initiatives.
- Production Support: Assist in issue triage and resolution of production operations as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in project teams within the financial services industry, ideally within a buy-side organization.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation.
- Extensive experience with Eagle Star portfolio accounting.
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Deep understanding of accounting data and its relationship with investment management, trading, performance, compliance, and regulatory functions.
- Knowledge of Corporate Actions and processing workflows.
- Experience with Eagle SRM platform.
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Skills):
- Experience working with State Street reporting platforms, such as:
- MyStateStreet reports
- RKS
- Alpha data platform
- CRIMS IBOR
- Experience supporting production operations, issue triage, and resolution.
Work Environment:
- Hybrid Role: Must be able to work onsite in Boston at least 3 days per week.
- Collaboration with multiple teams including business users, IT, and external vendors.
