  • Develop and manage internal audit programs and site-specific safety policies.
  • Investigate and resolve incidents, near-misses, and serious adverse events.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop emergency response and crisis management plans.
  • Provide safety training and technical support.
  • Design, conduct, and oversee safety training programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations.
  • Maintain HSE records and prepare regulatory reports.
  • Lead HSE programs across facilities and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
  • Partner with leadership to promote a strong safety culture and advocate for employee engagement in safety initiatives.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections and monitor compliance.
  • Manage waste, hazardous materials, and ensure regulatory-compliant disposal.
  • Develop and control the annual HSE budget and allocate resources effectively.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years in health, safety, and environmental (HSE) roles, or a combination of 4-year college education and relevant experience.
  • At least 3 years of EH&S experience in construction, preferably with data centers or large projects.
  • Proficient in managing high-risk activities, including electrical safety.
  • Knowledgeable in working with trades (e.g., electricians, plumbers) and understanding multi-employer worksite complexities.
  • Experienced trainer in construction safety and comfortable with various trades.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on timely reporting.
  • Skilled in conducting safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Relevant certifications or experience in training development, stormwater, wastewater, waste management, and emergency management.
  • Strong analytical, math, technical writing, and computer skills (MS Office, SharePoint).
  • Ability to travel overnight.
