Product Owner
About the Role
The Product Owner is an integral part of the Technology & Information Services team and will be responsible for collaborating closely with stakeholders and Technology & Information Services leadership to define the vision and strategy for technology products, while leading the life cycle of cross-departmental products spanning diverse technology teams and departments, and advocating for long-term strategic enhancements aligned with organizational objectives.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:
- Defining, documenting, and communicating the product vision guiding the development team and stakeholders in alignment with customer feedback, market research, performance metrics, and firm goals; delivering compelling product presentations and reports, securing stakeholder support
- Coordinating with other Product Owners to ensure alignment and integration of product strategies across the firm
- Collecting business and stakeholder requirements, translating them into user stories and acceptance criteria, and managing a clear and transparent product backlog, creating, prioritizing, and refining user stories
- Developing roadmaps to demonstrate long-term product vision, making decisions regarding product features, scope, and priorities, and communicating product releases
- Planning work in collaboration with the scrum master and development team, providing clear direction and leadership, and holding retrospective sessions to review and assess progress
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information

- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Agile software development lifecycle and methodologies
- Display the ability to understand and articulate the big picture business goals and clear vision for the product
- Possess advanced and effective business analysis skills
And have:
- A high school diploma or an equivalent; a Bachelor s degree or an equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Engineering, Management, or a related field, preferably
- Technical certifications in relevant areas, such as Agile Certification, Scrum Master, and SAFe, preferably
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a product owner for Agile software development teams or related areas
- Experience in the legal industry or a similar regulated environment, preferably
