Job Description
Gridiron IT is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst. The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst administers the software testing program in a dynamic applications environment encompassing custom development, low code/no code solutions, and COTS products. Experience will be leveraged in manual and automated testing covering unit, functional, regression, integration, and performance tests. In addition to improving application quality by direct testing, the Sr QA Analyst will advise on process improvements and strategies to strengthen the QA program. This includes leveraging proper tools and techniques for alignment with best practices in QA engineering.
Responsibilities
Develop test specifications/requirements, test scripts, and test cases
Review user stories with stakeholders to ensure tests are appropriate to demonstrate that the delivered solution meets agreed requirements; ability to distinguish enhancements from defects
Record and document results and compare to expected results.
Test to ensure software conforms to approved practices; recommend improved QA practices and procedures
Work closely with developers to analyze and debug issues
Proactively request updates to test environments including ensuring there are adequate data/documents available in the QA environment for thorough testing reflective of the production environment
Monitor customer service desk tickets post-release to ensure appropriate communications and escalation for high impact defects. Analyze defects identified in production to ensure that the proper controls are implemented to identify them in lower environments in the future. Create metrics to measure production defect rate and show success of quality assurance process improvements over time.
Maintain awareness of latest innovations, trends, and emerging technologies in QA testing and test methodology. Analyze opportunities for test automation
Requirements
At least 5 years of experience with end-to-end system web application development lifecycle testing
Must have experience testing complex applications such as those with multistep workflows, multiple roles/permission sets, and document uploads
Must have demonstratable experience eliminating defects and preventing returns by measuring and adjusting processes.
Experience testing for data validation including designing and manipulating test data and validating data migration
Ability to write SQL scripts to validate backend data is a plus
Extensive experience with bug tracking software; MS DevOps preferred.Ability to create and execute test scripts, maintain test environments, and track defect statuses
Understanding of Agile principles and SDLC
Experience working with software such as MS DevOps for logging bugs and tracking remediation
Ability to test creative scenarios from the perspective of multiple user roles in the system
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a variety of IT and business stakeholders
Conforms well to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $154,yr (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
