Job Title: Business Systems Analyst (BSA) – Cashflow Project
Location: Boston, MA (Onsite Monday-Wednesday)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support ongoing cashflow-related projects within the firm’s Client Service, Operations, and Portfolio Construction Teams. This is a highly visible role with direct exposure to multiple business units. The successful candidate will provide daily data analysis, application support, and project management for both existing and new initiatives.
The analyst will work in a hybrid environment, with onsite presence required in Boston three days a week (Monday-Wednesday).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct analysis, data validation, and mapping while gathering and documenting requirements.
- Understand business workflows, identify issues, and assess reporting requirements.
- Document incident findings to build the organization’s data quality knowledge base.
- Perform business and systems analysis at both code and data levels, including data mapping and data conversion analysis.
- Adhere to internal software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Research, test, and track business issues and software defects.
- Manage project tasks and provide status updates to stakeholders.
- Conduct effective meetings and facilitate technology discussions with business users.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) in the financial services industry with significant experience in data analysis and mapping.
- Experience with cashflow workflows (critical for success in this role).
- Proficiency in SQL, specifically Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience managing and working with software vendors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and exhibit extensive problem-solving abilities.
- Solid knowledge of system development methodologies and database principles.
- Strong Visio and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a history of taking initiative and a customer-service mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to BNY accounting system implementations.
- Experience with corporate actions and investment sector workflows.
- Prior experience supporting cashflow processing in financial institutions.
Work Environment & Hiring Process:
- Hybrid work schedule – must be onsite in Boston Monday-Wednesday each week.
- 12+ month contract role.
- The position has been open for a few weeks, with initial interviews conducted, but no candidates have met the required level of expertise.
- Hiring process includes video interview.
