We seek a highly skilled and experienced Freelance Jewelry Designer or Design Assistant to join our team for one workday or around 8 hours per week. As the Freelance Jewelry Designer, you will create accurate and detailed CADs and technical specifications for jewelry pieces. You will work closely with the design team to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical drawing skills and extensive jewelry design knowledge.

What You’ll Do
- Create CADs in a timely manner – Complete 8-12 CADs per week with accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare technical packets - Prepare intricate technical packets with attention to detail, accuracy and speed
- Trend research – Assist in analyzing and reporting jewelry trends, providing actionable insights.
- Assist in design development – Support the creation of new jewelry concepts, from initial sketches to final technical drawings.
- Maintain organized project files – Ensure all design files and documentation are organized, accessible, and up-to-date.
- Collaborate on design revisions – Implement feedback and revisions to designs based on team input, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Minimum of 3-4 years experience in designing and creating specs
- Proficiency in Illustrator
- Experience with fashion or costume jewelry
- Ability to work autonomously with strong attention to detail while working under tight deadlines and on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong technical drawing abilities
- Positive attitude, strong communication and presentation skills, and ability to provide/receive constructive feedback
- Have extensive knowledge of jewelry design/development, materials, and construction
