Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with the CEO. Work closely with designers and cross-functional teams to execute original print designs for House of Noa's product range, including rugs, mats, textiles, and other home decor items.
- Design research: Stay up-to-date with current market trends, design techniques, and emerging print concepts to generate fresh and innovative ideas that align with House of Noa's brand identity.
- Work directly with factories to troubleshoot and problem solve to ensure a smooth design process.
- Production support: Support the production process by creating technical files, coordinating with manufacturers, and ensuring print designs meet quality standards throughout the production cycle.
- Maintain print design library: Organize and maintain a comprehensive digital library of print designs, ensuring easy accessibility for the design team and other stakeholders.
- Communication and collaboration: Effectively communicate design ideas, concepts, and specifications to team members and stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and sales, to ensure the successful implementation of print designs.
- Quality control: Participate in product sample reviews and provide feedback on the accuracy and quality of printed designs, ensuring they meet the intended aesthetic and brand standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Textile Design, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- 3-4 years of print design experience: Previous experience in print design, pattern development, or textile design is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and develop unique print concepts. Strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to design execution.
- A keen eye for current design trends and an ability to adapt them to fit the House of Noa aesthetic.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and effectively convey design ideas and concepts to various stakeholders.
- Organization and time management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- A portfolio showcasing your design work, including print designs, pattern development, and related projects, is required.
