Job Details
A Plumbing Engineer in the MEP (Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing) Practice shall provide waste & vent, water distribution, roof drainage/storm and fire protection scope designs. Project types include...
- Municipal (police, fire and public works facilities)
- Park District (recreation centers, pools & maintenance buildings)
- Apartments, Senior living and mixed-use facilities
- Restaurants & entertainment
- Gas stations, C-stores and retail
- Offices and warehouses
- Healthcare facilities
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Produce/maintain design drawings & specifications from schematic design through construction administration
- Conduct field surveys and construction observation
- Engage with clients and staff in order to manage and coordinate scope and schedule
Required Skills/Abilities/Education:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience designing plumbing systems
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit proficiency a plus
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Familiarity with building codes (ILPC, IPC, UFC, IECC)
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering related field is preferred, but not required
- PE licensure is a plus
