This is a long term contract position and is 100% remote, but you would be required to work Pacific Time. The Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for managing and maintaining security infrastructure to protect the organization's sensitive information and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities of the Cyber Security Analyst:
- Manage and maintain security infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and network monitoring systems.
- Actively monitor the network for vulnerabilities, perform regular scans, and identify potential threats or weaknesses.
- Design and implement cybersecurity measures to safeguard data and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Respond to security incidents, prepare comprehensive reports, and implement corrective actions to prevent future issues.
Qualifications for the Cyber Security Analyst:
- Strong understanding of network security principles, including expertise in managing firewalls, configuring VPNs, and implementing intrusion prevention systems.
- Proficiency in identifying vulnerabilities through risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing, with a focus on mitigating risks effectively.
- Experience administering Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange for user authentication, group policies, and secure email management.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, NIST, or CIS, and the ability to implement and monitor security controls.
- Strong documentation skills to write detailed reports on security incidents, develop security policies, and maintain disaster recovery procedures.
- Experience with firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet) and VPN solutions (IPsec, SSL VPN, Cisco AnyConnect).
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, Splunk) and intrusion detection/prevention systems (Snort, Suricata).
- Knowledge of vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7) and penetration testing tools (Metasploit, Burp Suite).
- Familiarity with endpoint detection and response tools (CrowdStrike, Carbon Black), antivirus and antimalware solutions (Symantec, McAfee), and cloud security platforms (Azure Security Center, AWS GuardDuty).
- Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools (Splunk, IBM QRadar) and data loss prevention (DLP) solutions (Symantec, Forcepoint).
Compensation for the Cyber Security Analyst:
- Hourly Rate: $55.0-$60.0 per hour ***depending on experience***
