We are seeking a highly experienced Engineering Support and Infrastructure Manager to enhance our software engineering capabilities by managing infrastructure, security, compliance, and operational needs. This role will ensure our engineering and product teams can focus on core development while maintaining a secure and efficient infrastructure.
As a key member of our team, you will integrate cross-functional responsibilities across Product, Software Engineering, Customer Success, and IT. Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Engineering Support and Infrastructure Manager to enhance our software engineering capabilities by managing infrastructure, security, compliance, and operational needs. This role will ensure our engineering and product teams can focus on core development while maintaining a secure and efficient infrastructure.
As a key member of our team, you will integrate cross-functional responsibilities across Product, Software Engineering, Customer Success, and IT. This position reports to the Head of Engineering and will evolve into a leadership role, coaching engineering teams and leading an internal or outsourced team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead infrastructure initiatives across the company, including AWS management, GitLab administration, and information management systems.
- Manage corporate IT operations, such as Google account administration, onboarding/training, software licensing, and purchasing.
- Own and manage security initiatives, ensuring SOC2 compliance, security controls, and penetration testing.
- Guide engineering teams in adopting DevOps practices, improving CI/CD pipelines and SCM activities.
- Act as the primary contact for US time zone Support Engineering activities, working closely with Customer Success and Product Development to resolve infrastructure-related issues.
- Coach the engineering team on best practices in infrastructure, security, and operational tooling.
Infrastructure Management (Critical)
- Extensive experience managing infrastructure and IT needs across diverse environments, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Ability to develop and maintain policies for secure, scalable infrastructure.
- Integrate security practices into infrastructure and operations.
- Oversee penetration testing and compliance enforcement.
- Ensure a secure infrastructure through multi-layered testing and CI/CD tools.
- Bridge Customer Success and Product Development to resolve complex infrastructure-level issues.
- Read and understand existing code and algorithms to support incident resolution.
- Maintain a strong user focus to ensure an optimal customer experience.
- Analyze complex technical problems, identify root causes, and propose innovative solutions.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking to break down intricate issues into manageable parts.
- Guide teams in DevOps practices, CI/CD, and SCM activities.
- Contribute to product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Proficient in agile methodologies and collaborative autonomy to deliver value consistently.
- Proven ability to mentor and scale teams supporting infrastructure, tooling, and operational excellence.
- Experience leading specialized teams to support strategic decisions.
- Strong understanding of the user needs to ensure that engineering efforts align with business goals.
