Part Life Cycle Engineer, Energy Service SBOM

We have an opportunity for a Project Engineerwithin our Energy Service NPI team to support the Field Service organization across every product line as Tesla Energy scales. A successful candidate will have a strong technical and project management background as well as experience collaborating with broad cross-functional teams. This individual will work closely with Field Service, Design Engineering, Service Engineering andCompliance teams, acting as a technical support engineer ensuring the service parts supply chain readiness for Energy part changes and new product introductions.

Responsibilities

• Industrial Service BOM
• Factory BOM and Service equivalent BOM maintenance and changes
• Part Serviceability, Supersession and interchangeability for Industrial products
• Review, Validate & Approve Design Change
• Collaborate with the illustrators to update the illustrations if necessary
• Collaborate with the Manufacturing NPIs to track cutover from old to new revision
• Collaborate with Material Planning on the change, updating POs and ensuring a supply strategy for the new revision

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or the equivalent in experience
• 3-4 years in an engineering related role
• Project Management experience balancing time across several projects, working cross-functionally with technical, operational and supply chain teams
• Experience analyzing Engineering design changes and working with complex Bills of Material (BOMs)
• CAD experience (CATIA preferred) a plus
• Energy industry and supply chain experience related to design, manufacturing, and Energy repair a plus
• Highly proficient in PDM system (Enovia, Teamcenter etc) or other PDM systems. Microsoft Excel and data analysis experience a plus

Expected Compensation

$100,160 - $225,840/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
